Ferd Social Entrepreneurs awards the prestigious “Social Entrepreneur of the Year” award each year to an organisation that has particular potential to solve social challenges in society. The main criteria on which organisations are assessed include how innovative they are, how sustainable their business model is, and the extent of their documentable social results. The winner receives NOK 500,000. The winner will be announced by Prime Minister Erna Solberg and the chair of the jury, Johan H. Andresen, on 2 December 2020 at 15:00.

Greater profitability through unprejudiced recruitment
On Monday 26 October Norway’s Prime Minister Erna Solberg opened the 2020 Socent-conference, which sought to provide well-established companies with knowledge and tools that will make it easier for them to recruit people with gaps in their CVs. The conference was particularly relevant for business leaders and those who work in recruitment.
The topic of the webinar was: Greater profitability through unprejudiced recruitment, and took place at 09:00-11:00 on 26 October.

We want to meet social entrepreneurs and others who are interested in learning about what social entrepreneurship involves. More people want to talk to us than we have the capacity to meet one-to-one, and we therefore arrange open house events four to six times a year. These events provide an arena in which to meet different social entrepreneurs as well as people and organizations interested in social entrepreneurship and social impact.
