Innovative Exercise Solution For Older Adults

Motitech is the company behind Motiview – a solution designed for an aging population, aimed at improving life quality through physical activity, mental stimulation, and social connection. The innovative concept allows users to go on virtual bike rides using a user-customized exercise bike combined with videos of familiar roads and experiences, as well as customized music or sound. The main user group includes the elderly and people with dementia within public and private care homes. The customer base includes care homes, day centers, nursing homes, home care services, and rehabilitation.

Improves health

The Motiview concept motivates the elderly to be physically, mentally, and socially active based on memory recall. A lengthy research project over 4 years conducted at 24 different institutions in England showed that Motiview improves mobility, independence, activity level, and health. Additionally, the results indicated less pain and worry among the residents.

Since 2017, Motitech has organized an annual cycling championship called Road Worlds for Seniors (RWS). With nearly 7000 registered participants in 2023, it has created a global movement focused on physical activity and memory recall for seniors.

The company’s continuously growing video library contains more than 2100 videos from 40 countries around the world.

Ferd Social Entrepreneurs acquired an ownership interest in the company in 2018.

Motitech was awarded the title of Social Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017.
