Board and administration
Johan H. Andresen is the owner of Ferd, and became Chairman of its Board of Directors in October 2012 after 14 years as Chief Executive Officer. He is also the chairman of Ferd Social Entrepreneurs AS and a board member at Ferd’s portfolio company Brav. He is also a member of the boards of the Nordic Microfinance Initiative and JA Europe. In 2015 he was appointed as the Chair of the Council of Ethics for the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global (the oil fund).
Henrik Brandt, who is Danish, is today a non-executive. He has extensive international experience from more than 30 years of CEO positions at Royal Unibrew A/S, Unomedical A/S, Sophus Berendsen A/S, House of Prince/Skandinavisk Tobakskompagni A/S and Fritz Hansen A/S. Henrik is chairman of Toms Gruppen A/S, Danish Bake Holding ApS (Ole & Steen), nemlig.com A/S, and Fritz Hansen A/S, and vice-chairman of Scandinavian Tobacco Group, and a member of the boards of Gerda & Victor B. Strands Fond and Gerda & Victor B. Strands Fond Holding A/S. Henrik has been a member of the Board of Directors of Ferd Holding since its launch in June 2004.
Petter W. Borg was the CEO of Pareto Asset Management AS until 31 December 2015, which he was involved in setting up in 1998 as Pareto Forvaltning ASA. Petter led the company, which has become a leading player in the Norwegian asset management industry, from its foundation until 2015. Petter has also previously been the CEO of the insurance broker Dextra AS, and he has extensive experience of the financial sector from various senior management positions at NEVI Finans / DnB Finans. Petter is currently the chairman of Attivo Eiendom AS and Maverix AS and a member of the boards of various companies including Astrup Fearnley Asset Management AS, Grieg Investor AS, Nordic Aquafarms AS, Krafthuset AS and Cloudberry Clean Energy AS. He is also the chairman of the Nomination Committee of Pareto Bank ASA. Petter W. Borg has been a member of the Board of Directors of Ferd Holding since September 2015.
Berit L. Henriksen is Canadian and has extensive experience in the banking and finance industries. She has held a range of management positions at DNB in the large customer area, including in energy (oil and gas, oilfield services and power and renewables), shipping and other international industries such as seafood, healthcare, manufacturing and telecoms/media/technology. Berit L. Henriksen was the head of DNB America between 1998 and 2004. She has a BSc and an MBA from Canada and previously held bank-related board positions. She is currently a member of the Corporate Assembly and Nomination Committee of Norsk Hydro ASA, a member of the Nomination Committee of Equinor ASA, and board member of Scorpio Bulkers Inc., Dextra Musica AS and Hemsing Festival AS. Berit has been a member of the Board of Directors of Ferd Holding AS since September 2017.
Sven Nyman is Swedish. He is Founder of RAM Rational Asset Management AB and between 2002 and 2019 he was Chairman of the Board of the company as well as Chief Investment Officer for the Fund RAM ONE. Sven Nyman has been active in the financial markets since 1983. Between 1984 and 2002 Nyman was employed by Investor AB or companies owned by Investor AB. Nyman has been Executive Vice President of Investor AB and Head of Active Portfolio Management. He has worked with Investor AB’s core holdings, and was deputy chairman of OM and board member of Diligentia, Gambro and Alecta. From 1995 to 1997 he was President of Investor AB’s subsidiary in New York. Nyman founded and was President of Arbitech (1987) and Lancelot Asset Management (1989), both companies founded by Investor AB et al. Prior to joining Investor AB, Nyman was an analyst with Öhman Investkonsult/Fondkommission. Nyman is deputy chairman of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken, board member of the Stockholm School of Economics, Axel and Margaret Ax:son Johnson Foundation as well as member of the Nobel Foundation’s investment committee. Nyman has been a member of the Board of Directors of Ferd since 2017.
